Each morning when I open my eyes I say to myself: I, not events, have the power to make me happy or unhappy today. I can choose which it shall be. Yesterday is dead, tomorrow hasn’t arrived yet. I have just one day, today, and I’m going to be happy in it. My prayer for you and me dear one is that we shall weather this storm and come out better and stronger. This race is not one for the fainthearted. Every day brings its own surprises and setbacks. Lakini tujikaze tu! Let’s stick together giving each other moral support even if we have to keep social distance. Let us trust God to end this catastrophe so that our lives become stable again. In our different corners and situations let us reflect on the following words by St. Francis of Assisi:
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
Where there is sadness, joy
Blessed week ahead
